Asphalt mixing plant relocation
We move complete mixing plants: from survey and dismantling, through transport, to erection and commissioning at the new site.
Scope of work
Relocating a plant is a race against the calendar. The installation has to disappear from one site and start producing on another, usually within a shutdown window set by the paving season. We run it as a single contract, with one schedule and one party answerable for commissioning.
We work on plants from every manufacturer, including installations from the 1990s with no documentation left. In those cases, surveying and labelling every connection before dismantling decides how long erection will take. We do that work ourselves rather than leaving it to the erection crew on site.
If a worn assembly needs replacing during the move, or a RAP feeding system has to be added, we combine it with the relocation. That way the plant comes out of service once, not twice.
Process
Stages of a relocation
- 01
Survey
Walk-through, list of assemblies, measurements and connection records. Deciding what travels and what stays.
- 02
Schedule
Dismantling sequence, crane and transport selection, shutdown window agreed with the owner.
- 03
Dismantling
Disconnection and labelling, flange protection, preparation for transport.
- 04
Transport
Abnormal load haulage, permits and escort. Unloading in erection order.
- 05
Erection
Setting on foundations, steelwork, bitumen systems and electrical installation.
- 06
Commissioning
Testing, dosing calibration, first batches and handover to the operating crew.

Send us the location, plant make and shutdown dates
On that basis we will define the survey scope and an outline schedule. We reply within one working day.
